2009-2010 MINI-GRANT APPLICATION

The Foundation invites innovative ideas from all teachers!

The Three Village Educational Foundation (3VEF) invites all teachers to apply for a mini-grant up to $500 for the 2009-2010 school year. Last year, the Foundation was able to fund 17 teacher projects in the Three Village schools. The mini-grant program supports the Foundation’s mission to promote excellence, support opportunities that enhance teaching and prepare students to become tomorrow’s leaders.

Projects may be single or multiple classrooms, interdisciplinary, multi-grade, or school-wide. The Foundation’s goal is to support teachers’ interests and creativity.

The application is simple. Visit the Foundation’s web site at www.3VEF.org and complete your request online! Note the deadline is June 30. Mini-grant awards will be announced in early September.

Each project must be approved by the participating school principal. If the project has a long-term impact on facilities, grounds, or technology, the appropriate district approval is required.

Questions, please contact Kathy Jackson by e-mail at kjgittin2@aol.com or call 631.941.3899.

The Foundation Board looks forward to supporting teacher ideas.

The Three Village Educational Foundation (3VEF) was established in 2004 in recognition of the need for increased support to sustain the traditional margin of excellence in the Three Village Central School District. The 3VEF, a private, nonprofit organization, seeks to obtain financial resources from businesses and individuals to support, enrich, and enhance the quality educational program provided to district students. Funds gifted to the foundation are used towards providing students, teachers, and residents with programs and educational resources not funded for through the district's annual operating budget.
